skinbetters builds at-home versions of tools that used to require a clinic appointment, and we are straight about where that works and where it does not.
Most at-home devices fail for one of two reasons: they are underpowered to the point of being useless, or they are powerful with nothing stopping the user from hurting themselves. We build to the middle of that. Every light-based handset we sell has a skin-tone sensor that refuses to fire outside its validated range, and every one ships with eyewear.
Energy-based devices do not work on every skin tone or hair colour, and we say so on the product page rather than in the small print. A device that suits a light-skinned customer with dark hair will do nothing for a customer with fine blonde hair, and selling it to them anyway is not a business we want.
