Diode Laser Pro brings the 808 nm wavelength used in professional clinics into a handset you can run at home. Where IPL scatters broad-spectrum light, a diode laser emits a single wavelength tuned to the melanin in the hair follicle, which is what lets it reach coarse and deep-rooted hair that pulsed light tends to leave behind.
A sapphire tip holds the skin surface at around 5 C throughout the session, so the energy reaches the follicle without the surface heat that makes most home devices uncomfortable. Three fluence levels let you start conservatively and build up.
An integrated skin-tone sensor reads the treatment area before every pulse and will not fire outside its safe range.

IPL fires broad-spectrum light across many wavelengths, scattering as it goes. A diode laser emits one wavelength, 808 nm, tuned to follicle melanin. That focus is why a diode reaches coarser and deeper hair, and why sessions are usually fewer.
It works on light to medium skin with dark hair. It is not suitable for very dark skin tones, or for white, grey, red or fine blonde hair, because there is not enough pigment in the follicle for the laser to target. The sensor will not fire outside its validated range.
Most people treat every two weeks for six sessions, then maintain every eight to twelve weeks. Hair grows in cycles and a laser only affects follicles in the active phase, which is why spacing matters more than intensity.
Less than most people expect, because the sapphire tip cools the skin as it fires. Most describe a warm snap. If a pulse stings, drop a fluence level rather than pushing through.
No. The laser targets pigment and will heat tattoo ink, dark moles and permanent makeup. Cover them with opaque tape and work around them.
Wait at least two weeks after any tanning, including self-tan, which also affects the sensor reading. Treating recently tanned skin raises the risk of burns and pigment change.
