IPL targets pigment in the hair follicle, so it works best on light to medium skin with dark hair. It is not suitable for very dark skin tones, or for white, grey, red or fine blonde hair. The sensor will not fire on skin tones outside the safe range.
Most people see noticeably slower regrowth after three to four weekly sessions, with the fullest result around week eight. Hair grows in cycles, so consistency matters more than intensity.
Most people describe it as a warm snap, similar to a light elastic band. Level one is comfortable for almost everyone. If a pulse stings, drop a level rather than pushing through.

Do not treat directly over tattoos, dark moles or permanent makeup. The device targets pigment and will heat those areas. Cover them with a white pencil or opaque tape and work around them.
